Studying German - Feb 12, 2022
Finally got to 300 words on Speakly and moved to Beginner II level. Iām really enjoying this app, as it gives you words based on the most used words in real life scenarios, instead of giving a dozen words from a different category each time.
The phrases are also more meaningful and realistic, so Iām probably keep using it to slowly build vocabulary, since I donāt have a lot of time and energy for more focused study and longer sessions.
How to use Twitter - Feb 10, 2022
Today I saw a post titled How To Use Twitter, which has some interesting thoughts on how to improve the Twitter experience. And I guess the most important thing is not using the main timeline, but instead relying on the lists feature.
Itās really a letdown that to have a good experience on the platform we should avoid the main user experience they are offering, but I guess thatās the only way of really avoiding so many suggestions, likes and topics.
Itās still doesnāt solve my gripe with having my likes to myself, but thatās maybe ok for now.

This HackerNews comment (and following thread) also gives some indication that yeah, trying to mark those suggestions as ānot interestedā is not gonna help in the long run, but just make Twitter suggest worse content every time https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=30271837
My Band Playlists - Feb 8, 2022
This Saturday night I was listening to some songs that reminded me of my bands back in Brazil. Since I donāt use Spotify anymore and have migrated to Youtube Music, I decided to recreate my playlists there.
I never finished those playlists on Spotify, so Iāll see if someday I find the setlists so I can have complete playlists there. I also want to create setlist for other bands Iāve played with, and also my big band. But thatās for another time. They are both below:
Figure Skating 2022 - Feb 4, 2022
Itās kinda crazy how I got totally sucked in watching figure skating for the first time 12 years ago in Brazil, during Vancouver Olympics. And now here I am in Vancouver, watching the 2022 figure skating.
